Anyone from the UK relocated to Bermuda? Do you know of any sites where I can find information on this.?

Would like to hear from anybody that has relocated to Bermuda. Also where I can find information on education in Bermuda and property prices.

I lived in Bda from 94-99. Not sure from your question how you plan to relocate, ie whether you have a job lined up or are thinking of just going. If the latter, this is nigh on impossible. You can only stay longer term if you have a work permit (or you set up your own company!). You have to have this in advance or they won't let you on the island so you need to get the job lined up, and they should handle the immigration paperwork for you. Also, despite another's answer about this being easier because you're a Brit, this doesn't make any difference, an ex-pat is an ex-pat.

Yes, rents and housing prices are very hign, and the smaller 'more affordable' property is only available to Bermudians.

I loved it there, but it is a very small place (did you the the land area of Heathrow airport is bigger than Bda?), and it is getting increasingly overcrowded. I never got rock fever but a lot of people do, and living there is different to just going on vacation as it's not necessarily the paradise it might seem. Having said that, I'm going back on holiday in Sept for the first time in 5 years, and I can't wait!

No. Bermuda has very strict immigration laws. I am an American but I lived there while my dad was on a work permit which I believe had to be renewed annually. Unless you marry a Bermudian or aquire a work permit, you cannot stay there for more than a given amount of days without even getting special permission. So, no- unfortunently just because you are a citizen of the U.K., it does not mean you can just move to Bermuda :( (It's lovely though).

Even if you wanted to buy property as a non-Bermudian, you will pay higher prices. Also, there are certain properties you can buy...they are available to "non-Bermudians." I can tell you we rented a 3 bedroom, 2 bath albiet very nice apartment and paid over $2200 a month in rent....yikes! Oh yeah we also had to have chest x-rays before we moved there. Just thought I'd throwe that one out there.
